Model United Nations (MUN) club - join online or in-person (Milan & Nice)
ALLBRIGHT INSPIRED is excited to launch a Model United Nations' Club for the 2021-22 school year. MUN is student centered learning at its best. Students have agency and will become agents of change through MUN.
Based in Milan, Italy and Nice, France, Dr. Anne Allbright works with school children who do not have a MUN club at their school, or not involved in their school’s MUN club, but would like to partake in Allbright Inspired MUN organization. For those not in or around Milan or Nice, we offer a wonderful opportunity to join our club online.

Making MUN more accessible and democratic
Allbright Inspired is making MUN more accessible and democratic. Not all can afford or want to attend wonderful private schools. I do not want such students to lose out on the opportunity to be a part of this meaningful and vibrant international community. I believe that students from less privileged backgrounds have important voices and the potential to become change makers within the global arena, therefore, Allbright Inspired provides a platform that encourages more students to join MUN.
Why join MUN?
Students participating in MUN will connect with the broader regional and international community, since MUN fosters global citizenship. MUN focuses on real-world issues. As a result of global interactions, students will gain a wider and more encompassing world view. It is the hope that through organizations such as MUN, people of diverse backgrounds and beliefs will be able to share the planet in more peaceful ways, and start to identify as world citizens. We live in an interconnected world. Globalization provides both challenges and benefits and, trying to ensure all people can live a prosperous life with dignity requires all nations to work together respectfully.
MUN helps develop diplomacy and debating skills
For students wanting to become acquainted with diplomacy and international issues, MUN is an excellent way to do so, since conferences and workshops are diplomatic simulations. Through research, and analysis, students will shape policy that impacts their assigned country. As a MUN member, students can help solve issues and challenges that plague our planet today. At the sametime, students will develop stronger researching, writing, and public speaking skills.
Colleges and universities look favorably at MUN students
MUN is something universities look for among applicants, as involvement reflects global citizenship, dedication, and critical thinking skills. Participants also enhance their leadership skills. In order for MUN to work, the debates require different people to fill different roles. The chairperson’s challenge is to moderate the debate to make it as productive as possible. This means developing strong leadership skills, in order to make sure every country speaks and that the debate is fruitful and successful. Moreover, chairpeople also develop good evaluation skills, since they often assign awards to the best delegate and the best delegations at the end of the conference.
MUN is challenging and life changing
Also, MUN is simply fun. Every MUN conference organizes social events, which provide opportunities to have a good time with students and create bonds. Coming together from around the country, region, and world, students feel peaceful and harmonious among different cultures. And even if a student cannot partake in an in-person conference, they still gain a lot by participating in the online club, which also has a conference.
Online sessions will connect students to other club members around the globe, ensuring that everyone’s voice is heard.

Partake in an Allbright Inspired MUN Internship
If you want to intern with Allbright Inspired by assisting with MUN, please also fill out the contact form to Dr. Anne Allbright detailing your interest and experience. Strong candidates will receive an application for consideration. I am currently offering internships for the summer and fall of 2020. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age to apply, and have at least two letters of recommendation, plus previous MUN experience. During the summer, a commitment of 15 hours a week is required for 6 weeks, whereas the fall internship is for 5 hours a week for 10 weeks.
